Our Neonatology unit is a level 2 Intensive Care Unit with 7beds,open care systems.

We have facilities for Preterm care, Tube feeding, Phototherapy, Noninvasive Ventilation & Surfactant Therapy. We also have transport Incubators for transferring baby in and out of the hospital as needed. We do have a NON INVASIVE jaundice testing for Newborns, Jaundice meter (Transcutaneous Bilirubin meter) which helps in detecting newborn jaundice without blood test thereby starting Phototherapy early & avoiding the need for exchange transfusion. We have round the clock trained nurses for our NICU & 3-visiting Neonatologist Dr. UmaMaheswari, Dr. Ashok & Dr.Shaik MohammadShafi Jan & Dr.Senthil Kumar as the Medical Officer.

Our NICU is also equipped with Tele medicine gadgets & high speed internet which helps our consultants to monitor the newborn in NICU LIVE from remote places.

Out Patients Services(OPD Services) of Pediatrics & Neonatology Vaccinations & Growth Monitoring are taken care by Dr.S.Sabanayakam, gives digital prescription since 2009 , follows IAP vaccination schedule, maintains very good cold chain for vaccines with 24/7 DG back up , gives SMS alerts for vaccination dates & does lost vaccinations record retrieval. Department of Pediatrics has also introduced MISSED CALL SMS SERVICES to know consultation timing & availability of senior pediatrician DR.S.SABANAYAKAM. We also run MANGALAM CHILD DEVELOPMENT CLINIC ( MCDC), with Dr. Ashok & Dr. RanjithKumar Manoharan as Developmental Pediatrician & Dr. EmildaJudith EzhilRajan as Child Psycologist & Ms.Janani as Speech Pathologist & Ms.Vijayalakshmi as the Developmental Therapist ,with the help of this team weare able to identify & treat Growth Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder , ADHD, Speech Delay & Learning Disorders & other child Psychology Issues. We have a Pediatric Surgery team under Dr. Krishnamohan - Pediatric Surgeon & Pediatric Anesthetist - Dr. Krishnan.
